Difference Between Marketing And Advertising

Article marketing and article advertising may sound like the same thing, but there are actually differences between these two. They both contribute to the same end objective, but use different processes to achieve the goal.

Marketing

Marketing refers to the process of preparing your product (website, articles, etc.) for the marketplace. It involves understanding who your potential customers are and what they want to get from your product (what they want to read on your website). Colors, logo and other design elements of a website help you to align the image of your product with the interests of your target audience. Marketing defines you and attracts the market share you want.

Advertising

Advertising is the process of making your products (articles, websites) known to the marketplace. It is essentiall to spread the word about what you have to offer. While marketing is the way in which you convince potential readers that you have the content they want, advertising is a way of communicating with them.
